Youth Ministry

Life Teen High School Youth Ministry

Life Teen is a comprehensive youth ministry program with a strong focus on the Eucharist. Despite its phenomenal growth, it has never deviated from what it set out to be – a parish-based Catholic-centered ministry for all high school teens. The goal of Life Teen is to create an environment to lead teens into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. It speaks to teens on all levels: emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual.

Like all teenagers, the teens of our Blessed Sacrament face many pressures and difficult social choices. Depression, drugs, broken homes, shattered relationships, and extreme materialism are facts of life for today’s high school teens. Life Teen provides sanctuary, hope, and acceptance for teens at a time in their lives when these positive elements can seem in short supply.

Life Nights are on Sunday nights throughout the year from 5:00 – 6:45 pm in the Parish Hall at Blessed Sacrament. Each week at Life Night, students hear a dynamic message, have the opportunity to ask questions, participate in powerful times of worship and prayer, grow in community through games, small groups and a weekly meal.

Life Teen Mass follows Life Night at 7:00 pm. The Mass is filled with contemporary music, friends, and fun as we come together to worship our Lord. The Mass is tailored for teens, but we have found that people of all ages really enjoy it, so bring your whole family! The homilies are relevant and the music is chosen specifically to lead you deeper into the Mass and closer to Christ.

Edge Middle School Youth Ministry

Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program that It provides a safe fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way.

We all remember that middle school was awkward and difficult. That hasn’t changed. However, societal shifts have made the middle school years more difficult than ever. Today, middle school youth are having experiences that were common only with high school students just 15 years ago. Threats of violence, availability of drugs and alcohol, and pervasiveness of sex and pornography are the new norm. Not only are they faced with these tough realities but they are also in the process of moving from being family-centered to friend-centered.

Edge exists to give middle school youth a safe place where they are free to be themselves, surrounded by others seeking Christ. Our goal is to help each youth fall in love with the God who is already madly in love with them.

Edge meets on Friday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the Parish Hall at Blessed Sacrament. Each Edge Night is filled with fun and games, is centered on Church teaching and Scripture, and gives the youth an avenue to share their faith through small group discussion.
