Adult Faith Formation
Periodic short term lecture series are offered on Monday evenings and are advertised in the church bulletin
Assisting at the altar is a privilege. Open to girls and boys who have a strong desire to serve, are between 4th grade through high school, have received First Holy Communion, and have the support of their parents.
Musicians who accompany the 10:30 am Mass Choir periodically with handbells.
This ministry helps families by offering support, friendship, healing and understanding at a time of family need and personal sorrow. We attend visitation at the funeral home, pray the Rosary and organize volunteers and help with receptions following the funeral service.
Book and Gift Store
Volunteers work the cash register, giving parishioners an opportunity to purchase religious articles and books on the weekends and occasionally during the week.
Boy Scouts of America meet here at Blessed Sacrament and offer formation opportunities and community for boys in 6th-12th grade
Catholic Social Teaching
A central and essential element of our faith. Meetings are on the first Saturday of each moth in the Parish Hall to discuss social teaching principles and opportunities.
Children of all ages participate in learning the music for the Mass and other special evens thought the year. Practice is scheduled preceding special events and masses.
Choir- 10:30am Mass
Provide liturgical music for the mass on Sunday morning. Regular weekly rehearsals take place in the church.
Christ Renews His Parish
Men’s and Women’s teams who offer a weekend renewal experience for our parish twice a year. Hosted at the St. John Neumann Center. Great way to meet parishioners and be rekindled in your faith.
Couples for Christ
A worldwide ministry with over 1 million members that strives to protect the sacrament of marriage. We offer bi-weekly meetings focused on prayer, scripture, fellowship, and ongoing learning to help strengthen marriages. Spouses participate together in working to keep Christ at the center of their marriage.
Boy Scouts group for boys in 1st-5th grade
Edge (Middle School Youth Group)
Community, Fun, and Faith directed by our Youth Director and a core team of volunteers. Meetings are on Friday Evenings at Blessed Sacrament. Volunteers, young at heart, with a commitment to passing on their faith are needed.
Candidates for this most holy ministry of sharing the Eucharist are always needed. Training required on request. Preferred scheduling is available. If this ministry interests you please submit your name and you will be contacted by a parish priest or Communion Minister Coordinator.
Council tasked with creating the budget and year long financial tracking. If you want to participate, please contact the pastor.
Our parish has a food pantry on site for parishioners in need. All parishioners are welcome bring donations of non-perishable food to mass on the weekends and put it in the food basket in the vestibule.
For those interested in becoming Catholic- Rite of Christian Initiation
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is the process of initiation of adults who may wish to explore or join the Catholic Church. The instruction begins in the fall and ends at Easter.
An official order within the Catholic Church of lay men and women, Diocesan priests and deacons who have permanently chosen to follow the Gospel Life in the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi. Meetings are scheduled one Saturday a month, at Blessed Sacrament church, or another designated church.
Good News Outreach
A faith-based organization that strives to reduce hunger, homelessness, and isolation by providing food, shelter and social interaction through collaborative efforts within the Tallahassee community. Programs: Maryland Oaks, Crossing, Mission Oaks Apartments, Mercy House, Food Pantry
Kairos- Prison Ministry The mission of Kairos is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women, and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities
Knights of Columbus
The Knights are a Catholic men’s fraternal benefit society. The Fr. Hugon Council meets the 4th Thursday of every month at their hall located at 219 Office Plaza Dr.
Legion of Mary
Men and women who for the love of Mary, and the love of fellow man, and under Mary’s guidance, visit the sick, homebound, imprisoned, and seek the lost sheep. Weekly meetings with the goal of giving glory to God though the holiness of its members, developed by prayer and active cooperation in bringing about the reign of Christ on earth.
Life Teen (High School Youth Ministry)
Leading high school teens closer to Christ through Sunday night gatherings, retreats, service trips, small groups, and other opportunities. Life Nights begin at 5pm on Sundays.
Magnificat is a ministry that encourages Catholic women to grow in holiness through opening more fully to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They hold prayer meals four times a year with praise and worship and a speaker who shares her personal testimony.
Mass Readers (Lectors)
These ministers proclaim the Word of God during Mass and lead the Prayers of the Faithful. Training is required and preferred scheduling is available.
Men of St. Joseph
The Men of St. Joseph Tallahassee Chapter is an association of Christian men, united under the Catholic Church, who meet weekly to pray together and encourage each other to be the spiritual leaders of their families. This is an opportunity for men to gather in group prayer on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 am at the St. John Neumann Center.
Men’s Club (Men of Blessed Sacrament)
The MOBS is for all men of the parish over 18. They meet the first Friday of each month at 7:00 am for mass in the church followed by a short meeting in the parish hall that includes coffee and donuts.
Natural Family Planning
Help for couples to achieve or avoid pregnancy which respects the natural means and ends God has given for the expression of married love.
Neumann Center Book Club
We read books about prayer, spirituality, and theology and novels that explore issues of love and faith. Meetings are twice a month, reading one book a month. All are welcome.
A nursery for children 4 years old and under, staffed by a director, and volunteers, is available during the Sunday morning masses. The nursery is off the hallway to the parish hall.
Serves a two year term on the governing board of the parish. If you have energy and enthusiasm to initiate and assist with projects for our growing parish community, please let our Pastor know.
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration
The exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is a life-giving ministry for Blessed Sacrament Church and surrounding Catholic Community. Consider signing up for one hour for some quiet time with Jesus.
The Filipino Choir sings at the 12:15 Mass on the 3rd Sunday of the month from September to June. Although composed mostly of Filipinos, it is open to everyone. A Filipino liturgical composition is sung after communion. A meal is provided by the Filipino community in the hall after mass. This choir sings at special massed: Feast of the Child Jesus in Jan., Flores De Mayo in May and on Christmas.

Catholic Married Men who desire to grow in love, knowledge and service of God and neighbor- to imitate Saint Joseph in being husbands, to our wives and fathers to our children. Meetings are every Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the Miccosukee Room, located on the second floor above the Parish Hall.

Provide religious education to elementary school and middle school age children. This catechesis is done on Sunday mornings, and catechists, assistants, and substitute teachers are always needed. Team teaching is welcomed. All materials are provided, and a background check is required before working with children.

Provides awareness and educational materials to parishioners and community on pro-life issues
Sacred Heart Enthronements
Beautiful way to bring the peace and love of Jesus into the family. A simple ceremony, which is done by either a priest or a deacon, where the Sacred Heart image is officially enthroned.
Care for the altar, vestments, and other items necessary for the celebration of the Mass is the responsibility of this vital ministry. Your valuable service is needed.
Lay Catholics who provide support for seminarians studying to be priests
A monthly lunch at the homeless shelter, providing specific items and helping to serve the lunch.
Sick and Homebound
Help to keep our parishioners who are sick and homebound connected to the parish by visiting them and many times bringing them communion.

Catholic retreat center at the service of the universal call to holiness. Our Mission is to provide a place of prayer, hospitality, rest and renewal where persons come to reflect on the things that really matter: God’s Word, the Most Holy Eucharist and the love of God & neighbor.
Trinity Catholic School
Tallahassee’s local Catholic School Pre-K through 8th grade
Our ushers provide help and hospitality to all who enter the church. They assist with the offertory and general security. Your help, even one weekend per month, is appreciated.
Women of Mary Immaculate
The mission of this prayer group is to bring Catholic women, from all parishes in the Tallahassee area, Together in prayer. Under patronage of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (and Maximilian Kolbe) we strive to develop the virtues of Mary, especially her humility, purity of heart, and love of God. Meetings are once a month on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the St. John Neumann Center.
Women’s Bible Study

The Women’s Guild, the umbrella organization for the church circles, is comprised of officers and the circle chairmen. Socials and a mini-retreat for all women of the church are overseen by the Guild. The Guild is affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women.
Women’s Circle- St. Catherine
SC meets on the 2nd Monday of the month in the Parish Hall. Through Bake Sales on the first Sunday of every month (Sept.-May), the circle is able to make contributions to support Elder Care Services, Big Bend Hospice and Boy’s Town etc. Aided by scripture readings and coffee socials we are able to build a strong community of faith.
Women’s Circle- St. Theresa
ST meets the 2nd Monday at 7:00 PM in the Nursery. Thanks to funds raised through their annual cheese ball sales they are able to support our religious, our parish and our school. There meetings include faith, fun and fellowship.
Women’s Circle- Mother Seton
Mother Seton Circle meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Trinity School Media Center. Their fund raiser is the sale of homemade Jams & Jellies at church the weekend before Thanksgiving which supports our charitable projects. Members also meet monthly for lunch and enjoy praying and supporting each other.
Women’s Circle- Mother of Perpetual Help
Mother of Perpetual Help circle meets monthly on the 3rd Monday of the month at 9:30 AM in the Nursery. Known as the craft circle they hold craft/food sales at church. A reception after the Holy Saturday vigil Mass is one of their services to the church.
Women’s Circle- Our Lady of Guadalupe
OLG meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month in the Legion of Mary room at 6:00 PM. This circle organizes the annual Mini Retreat. They support the pregnant mothers considering abortion at the at the Open Door Women’s Clinic.
Young Families- Louis and Zelie Groups
For parents of children 1-5 years old who are not yet attending grade school. A small group composed of parents seeking to pray, learn, network, and develop their relationship with their spouse in a friendly Catholic environment.
